63Eat, Drink and Be Skinny!
I would like to post this recipe for everyone to enjoy...without feeling guilty! :)
Upon my recent "health-kick", I found what is more a wonderful new way of life. In my quest to fitness I found myself questioning some decisions regarding my daily calorie intake. I realized just how many "empty" calories I was consuming, becoming aware of the consequences or setbacks rather that the low calorie boasting goodies really offered. With that said, here is a recipe for yummy protein brownies that will satisfy your craving (especially with the approaching holidays) and provide a snack with meaning. Don't forget to pair it with a piece of fruit!
Protein Brownies:
1 box of No Pudge Fudge Brownie Mix
1 cup of applesauce
6 scoops of chocolate protein powder
Preheat oven to 350
Spray muffin pans with non-stick spray
In a large mixing bowl combine brownie mix, applesauce and protein powder.
The batter will be very thick! Original recipe calls for 2/3 cup of applesauce, you will need to add a bit more to create a workable consistency.
Evenly scoop batter into 12 individual portions using muffin/ cupcake pans.
Bake approximately 20-22 minutes
Keep a few out and freeze the rest for a later date to keep temptations at bay!
Fat 6 g/ Protein 16 g/ Carbs 36 (carbs a little high, ok in moderation. I have seen worse protein bars out there!)
Enjoy!
